FAQ'S
I don't have a car. How do I get to Fall Getaway?
A couple of weeks before Fall Getaway we will put together a carpool list. We will make it easy for you to find a ride there!
It shows a sleeping bag on the packing list but I don't have one. Can I just bring sheets and a blanket?
For sure! The beds are twins beds so any sheet twin or bigger will work for the weekend!
Do I need to bring a flashlight?
The camp has lights at night but it can still get pretty dark. Having a flashlight would not be a bad idea. If you plan to go on the Sunrise Hike then a flashlight is recomended!
Will dinner be provided for me on Friday night?
Unfortunately, we will not be providing dinner for you on Friday night. Please be sure to eat before you arrive at the camp.
I see that the camp is in a remote area. Is there a close gas station?
The nearest gas station is 20miles away. Just be sure to have enough gas when you come to the camp.
My parents want to know that I made it safely. Is there cell service?
Cell service is not good at the camp. You will most likely not have any. There is a camp phone that you can use to let them know that you made it.
Have other questions?
We are here to answer any questions you may have! Email trevor.burleson@cru.org for any other questions you may have.
