ABOUT CRU

Cru, the US Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ, exists to see lives changed by helping people find and follow Jesus. It is an inter-denominational Christian ministry that began in 1951. Today it's a global movement of God impacting over 190 countries. Here at Texas State, our vision is to introduce students and faculty to Jesus Christ, build them up in their faith, and send them out to change the world.

Cru has been a campus organization at Texas State since 1971, with staff and students trusting the Lord and loving students with the message of Christ’s grace and salvation for over 50 years.

We desire to help students grow in their relationship with God while in college. We do this by being in life together through small groups (discipleship groups) where we can know God and his Word better, as well as challenge and encourage one another to follow Christ. We want to truly worship God, not only with music but with our whole lives.

We often talk about our Cru community as a "family". Families are never perfect and can have a few odd characters, but they are committed to one another in love and service. We invite you, wherever or whoever you are, to connect with us into this family. Come grow with us.
